I’m definitely particular when it comes to audio quality. As a musician when a speaker doesn’t have good Natural Balance I pay more attention to that then I do the music itself. That being said I assumed I would have to pay somewhere in the range of $1,000 for a pair of speakers that would meet my requirements of needing them to be able to stand up to the elements in the Arizona desert with a system that runs every day, while still delivering a level of audio quality that was worth listening to. I can’t believe how cheap these are for how damn good they sound. These are 40 Watts for the version I got which is more than enough for my outdoor space with misters and fan running. The Next Step Up is the 80 Watts for not that much more money it was just way more than my space needed. Save yourself doing a bunch of research and get these installed already. They are a piece of cake to set up Read more

These are FANTASTIC for what I had in mind. They had to meet the following guidleines Affordable. Quality sound. Weather proof. Bluetooth. They succeeded on all of these. I decided to build a Deck, Patio and Pergola by myself, and instead of waiting til the project was done, I bought these first, the project took me 2 months, and these awesome little speakers kept me company maybe 8 hours a day for months! They did fine at 102 degrees in the sun, in the rain, and even during the hurricane. Hanging them was a breeze with the awesome INCLUDED adjustable hangers. Great quality sound, streamed right from my phone via the easy bluetooth connection made agitating my neighbors a breeze! I installed them at the top of a pergola and the sound fills my backyard area… if you want to have a huge annoying party these arent for you, but anytime Ive had a get together Ive had to lower the volume so people could talk….thats all i need. FYI, the audio quality GREATLY depends on the device streaming. My phone did great, my friends had maybe 50% my volume, and a buddy brought his tablet and it was maybe 50% louder than my phone….so play around a lil. Read more

I deducted one star for each of the two following two reasons: 1) The On/Off switch is on the back of one of the speakers. This is a strange choice since the speakers are usually mounted too high for this switch to be useful. I used a switched outlet to solve this limitation. 2) The speakers make a very LOUD beep when turned ON and when connecting to bluetooth. The volume of these beeps cannot be adjusted. The loud beep is really annoying and will prevent me from switching the speakers on late at night or early morning because it is really LOUD (what were they thinking????)! Otherwise, these speakers perform fine so far. The bass response that many complain about can be adjusted from most devices (e.g. I have a Samsung phone and the music app has an EQ). Did I mention the really LOUD and annoying noise when the speakers are switched on? Read more

These were easy to set up and have really good sound quality. AT THIS PRICE, you can’t do better. Last year I set up a “better” system for my in-laws consisting of a Chromecast attached to an Onkyo receiver plus wires running outside through a brick wall to Polk outdoor speakers for a total cost of over $500. The two systems are on par honestly in terms of performance. The more expensive system can be turned up louder, but not without getting the cops called on you, so it’s pretty unnecessary. As mentioned elsewhere, when you first turn the speakers on they play a little tune which is pretty loud, but compared to my battery powered Bluetooth speaker it’s about the same volume and not a big deal. BTW I’m using a Nexus 5 with Google Play Music. If you’re connected and someone else wants to connect, make sure you disconnect your phone via the settings menu or the other person won’t be able to connect. I can answer any questions about these speakers, but if I say any more at this point I’ll probably just be rambling. Anyway, so far so good, and a big thumbs up from me. Read more

These work well for use on a patio that isn’t covered. I like these speakers, they sound great and paired easily with three Samsung phones. The volume and output are fully controlled by the phone apps using Pandora, SiriusXM, or playing music files on the phone. I have the power controlled by a TP-LINK smartplug, so I can turn them on and off using the smartplug’s app, or with Alexa. Some things to know about these- like others have mentioned, the power switch is on the back of the main speaker, in between the power cord and the speaker terminals. Not easy to get to, so that’s why I control mine with the smartplug. Also, one of the plastic nuts that hold the speaker wire into the terminal cracked when just finger tight. I decided to solder banana plugs on instead, which makes taking them down for winter easy. And others have mentioned the power on sequence. When these are powered on a voice announces “POWER ON”, then “CONNECTED” when a paired device is connected to them. This is loud. Really loud. I’m on the front deck of my house now, and when I powered them on just now I can hear it echo through our wooded neighborhood. Those speakers are on the opposite side of my house, 50′ away and facing the other direction. It’s almost embarrassing that the neighbors know when my patio speakers turn on. There is no way to adjust this power-on mega blast. Read more

Purchased in 2015 and had some initial issues that the company quickly responded to and satisfactorily resolved. Sound is good. But now 3 years later, we have a problem and while there is “lifetime” product support, you might wait your lifetime to get a response. I have called at least 10 times over 4 days. Why so many calls, well…the first 2 days I left voice mail but got no response. Then on day 3, I got a person. Wow! I did what he suggested as step 1, but the problem was not resolved. So I called again to get next steps and now when I get voice mail, but the mailbox is full so I can’t leave a message. I guess I now have to find a new outdoor Bluetooth speaker, hopefully from a company with better customer support Read more
