I got delivery of the JBL speaker about a week ago, all seemed well. Nice packaging included charging cable and strap. After two sessions of use lasting 2 hour in total, battery went from 4/5 charge lights to dead. Tried charging the speaker but would not charge past 4/5 charge lights. Tried charging from a different outlet and kept getting same results. Turned speaker on to use again but this time charge only lasted an hour before the speaker disconnected and shut off. Tried charging the speaker again and only got one blinking charge light over a 3 hour charge time. Returning speaker and ordered replacement…i will post update.Read more

I recently bought Certified REFURBISHED Jbl extreme. Jbl extreme came with charging problems (When I charge my JBL Extreme, it goes only up to the 4 led light and just keeps blinking. I has been charging about 6 hours and it still just blinking up to the 4 led lights.) also it came dirty and with usage tracks such as scratches, fingerprints.I contacted with seller several times and I feel like they are trying to refuse me in many different ways.Read more

I bought my speaker less than a year ago from this same seller and it started malfunctioning after 4 months of usage, eversince then Ive been trying to contact JBL to repair it but I haven’t gotten any responses, the speaker sounds great but the battery is wack! It keeps on turning off after 15 minutes of playback even at full battery, the only way to enjoy music was having it plugged in to the power every time. Lately it just doesn’t turn on anymore!Read more

I’m a person that needs to have a solid bluetooth speaker. I have a couple small speakers that are good enough for small rooms. If I’m outdoors then I don’t particularly enjoy my speakers because they just get drowned out so easily by things like cars driving by my house and the sound is somewhat thin because there’s just not enough power driving the low end. That’s why I just went for a product that was meant to deliver. The Xtreme is a great speaker with a couple cool extras. The carrying strap that hooks onto the speaker unit is a great idea and helps keep it out of your hands if you need to bring it along but have nowhere to put it while you’re on the go. The battery life seems to be about as advertised. I rarely play this thing at just 50% so I don’t quite see that 15 hour battery life advertisement but that’s to be expected when you play at 70% or a little more fairly often. I like the speaker. Great design met with solid audio performance. It doesn’t sound like it has some really deep, thunderous bass but it gets pretty loud and the sound is full for such a compact speaker. No, it’s not as small as a JBL Flip or a SoundCore Pro which are better suited for the corner of your desk or a picnic table but it’s not obnoxiously large like the LG PX7, which takes up more space because of its handlebar design. This is a little more svelte than something like that. The Sony XB41 probably has a little better bass performance but my understanding is that there is a bit of a squash of the vocal EQ range as a result and that the speaker is better suited for bassheads than someone that likes just about anything else that isn’t extremely bass heavy. Still, the Xtreme does a great job of being a solid speaker all around. I really wanted to get the JBL Boombox because I demoed that speaker at Best Buy and it was significant to behold at 50% volume. The Xtreme gets loud but not as loud or as full-sounding as the Boombox but it is also nearly $200 more expensive brand new right now so the value isn’t really all that great. If you want something that can at least play in the performance range of a Boombox-like speaker but don’t want to spend the $300+ then the Xtreme is perhaps the speaker to go with, especially if you find it on sale.Read more

I love this speaker! I was so incredibly impressed that I bought a flip 4 to pair with it instead of buying a home setup after reading how these speakers “connect” to one another. Good ol’ JBL failed to explain that the flip 4 and newer speakers DO NOT connect to the Xtreme or earlier models. Felt completely slighted by JBL, even after sending them an email and their “Oh well, sucks to be you attitude” after explaining their crappy description of what it will connect to. It is a great speaker, but JBL is doing a bait a switch, so beware if you have an earlier version of the flip or Xtreme, it WILL NOT work with anything newer. Too bad as the products are great, but the company is misleading.Read more

I did a lot of research on this speaker and for the price it’s as good as it gets. It does have some over powering bass at lower volumes sometimes, but setting it to endurance mode or bass reducer (I’ve seen it called both) by holding down minus volume and bluetooth buttons for 10 sec. helps a lot, also having an equalizer on whatever your using for playback if your listening to podcasts is also a plus. It gets loud for it’s size and any size really other than a JBL Party Box and it’s very clear the bass will adjust itself at higher volumes and won’t distort. I also had a JBL Onyx 5 and this is louder and the Onyx only has mono speaker (it does a good job of faking stereo though) this clearly beats that. I haven’t gotten it too wet one trial in the shower and it passed that no problem fact is it’s loud enough to be in a different room while I’m in the shower and I hear it no problem.Read more
