First I was very much impressed with Klipsch home theater sound system performance. Don’t put too many expectations on this soundbar if you are a fan of Klipsch. It does an ok job. Bought it on the deal. The soundbar finish is not that great (has a cheap finish) but does work fine. The most annoying thing is the remote. Not sure if the item itself is a defective piece or not. But keeps disconnecting when you pause the video on TV. Switches back to my tv audio. When you try to reconnect, the vol goes up to 100%, and the remote didn’t work. You have to manually reduce the volume. Bluetooth is horrible. Not visible for pairing. Returned this item.Read more

I have a wide range of Klipsch products that I use for my regular surround sound setup, so when I got it, I was expecting the same quality that you’d expect from the Klipsch brand. Unfortunately this isn’t one of those products. Upon first receiving the product and hooking it up, I noticed a rattle coming from the Subwoofer whenever the bass hit. So i removed the back panel and inside was a piece of wood that was glued on and came off and was just rattling around. Once I removed the piece of free floating wood, placed it back together the Wireless Sub worked as expected. Several days later, i’m now getting this weird distortion noise coming from the subwoofer. Easiest way to make it go away is to mute the soundbar and unmute it, the distortion immediately goes away, but eventually comes back.Unfortunately I already through the box away so I’m stuck with it. Needless to say QA isn’t up to snuff and I’d skip this set at all cost.Read more

First impressions from hooking it up last night and playing with it are excellent. The ARC function outta the box works. Crazy simple. The sound is giant from a bar under $200. The dialog is clean, crisp and intelligible. The bass is wild. How did Klipsch get such a big subwoofer added at this price?!?!?So far I’m thrilled with performance. It’s sitting on the stand today. I will install later and update based on how that goes. This is phenomenal for the price.Read more

I have quite a bit of white noise in my room (around 60db avg) so I’ve tended to struggle with hearing dialogue in movies even with a Vizio 5.1 surround sound system. The music and sound effects would always come through though but I’d have to increase the volume to hear dialog. This resulted in me using subtitles for all media so as to not wake my family from increasing the volume to 75% or so just to hear the characters talking.Having said that I recently decided to replace my old Vizio system and go for this new Klipsch 400 soundbar w/ subwoofer and I’m genuinely glad that I did.The end of my bed is around 10ft from the Klipsch soundbar which is placed directly below my 70″ tv. I placed the wireless subwoofer in the corner of the room about 15 ft away from the soundbar. The installation process was straightforward. I didn’t even have to pair the subwoofer with the soundbar. For audio input I used hdmi arc.My tv recognized the soundbar instantly and started playing audio through the soundbar. There’s minimal lag from pressing the volume change button on my fire stick or tv remote and the resulting audio increase/decreaseon the soundbar. The sound wasn’t tinny at all and after listening to an NPR tiny desk recording I was impressed with the warm vocals which were pronounced with the dialogue mode. I then watched Total Recall and the immersion from the subwoofer provided an excellent viewing and listening experience. I can only turn the subwoofer up to the mid-level as it’s too strong at the higher levels in my 300sq ft bedroom. The simulated surround mode is just ok as I didn’t really notice a difference in various spots around the room. One minor annoyance is that you cannot see whether the dialog or surround is enabled as it’s displayed on the top of the soundbar.Overall I’m enjoying this soundbar. Will update the review if it stops working.Read more

I’ve had bought 2 2.1 klipsch thx computer speakers that both amps went bad on them but I also know they make really good sounding speakers I’ve heard them. The quality of this product is really questionable. I uploaded a photo of them being even unable to apply the stick correctly onto the soundbar. The bass isn’t bad but it isn’t anything great. The sound is meh as well. Don’t get my wrong it’s sounds fine but I thought when ordering this high name brand sound bar even though it was a lower tier soundbar it would still sound like the other products but I am sadly disappointed. If you are buying this thinking you are getting a good deal on a top notch brand you will be disappointed. Again it’s not a bad product so far, the quality of this is really questionable on Longevity. I bought this on sale for $190. I would really feel robbed if I paid more.Read more
