First, I was mainly purchasing these headphones for the wireless and battery features. What I received was a great quality sound, and greater battery life than stated. So far, I have had only one time where the headphones did not connect to my phone (after it was already paired).Pros: – Battery Life – This was one of the biggest reasons for purchasing these headphones. I was looking for a set of headphones that would last longer than 4-6 hours and stumbled across these. I run the headphones for ~6-7hrs a day for four days. On the fifth day, I run the headphones until they turn off on their own. This normally happens around noon. This gives me a battery life of about 28-32 hours, beyond the stated 25 hours.- Cables – I like that they give two options for cables, with one being coiled. The second cable is only thee feet, which is great.- Noise Cancellation – This was anticipated as I expect to have some noise cancellation with over the ear headphones. These though, were a great deal better than expected. I have a person in my office that talks extremely loudly (they are hard of hearing), and just putting these headphone on nearly cancels him out. Once music is playing, I only hear the music and nothing else around me.- Sound Quality – The old headphones I was replacing with these were kind of tinny in sound quality. These headphones have really rich deep bass. I was extremely pleased with the sound.Cons (yes, there are a couple, minor though for me):- Cables – There are two things about the cables that bug me. The first, is the coiled cable comes with the massive 6.35mm on one end, and no adapter to reduce it to a 3.5mm. Honestly, they could have gone either way with this one, send a 3.5mm adapter, or place a 3.5mm on the other end, with a up sizing to the 6.35mm. Either way, an adapter would have been nice. I luckily have a couple spare adapters. The second, on the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, it does not come with the jack lock on it.- Mic – This one being minor for me, may be a problem for others. If there is a mic on these headphones, the gain is horrid. It does not pick up my voice at all. I have answered three calls with these headphones, all three could not hear me when I spoke in a normal volume, and ultimately hung up. The reason this is minor for me, is it was not a reason I purchased the headphones.Read more

After my previous review of OneOdio’s Studio DJ Bluetooth headphones, I promptly lost them to my daughter who, even if they don’t have the prestige & clout of the wireless Beats she has, prefers the OneOdio Studio’s sound & feel. This was fine with me cause I was happy to purchase another pair of the Studios from OneOdio, but they are currently unavailable, What is available is their new OneOdio Fusion A7 Wireless + DJ Headphones & for a very reasonable price (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQQS88Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1).I’ve had these new Fusion headphones now for 11ish days & have listened to them daily in a variety of ways & with a variety of devices & I’m happy to report that I’m not sad I couldn’t get the Studios again… These Fusion headphones are GREAT!So, everything good I said about the Studios in my headphone review (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2V09LTM52HHUH?ref=pf_vv_at_pdctrvw_srp) holds true with these, it’s just that OneOdio has given that much more with these Fusions A7s:— Overall visual & build• Design is clean looking & nicely tactile too. They’re light weight since they’re mostly plastic-based, but the general quality attained is still high in their overall feel. Plus, when you’re wearing them on your head for multiple hours, it’s nice to have some “barely there”-weighted headphones blasting into your ears.• Comes with a nicely debossed, rubberized pouch for carrying. Cable – A long, 6 ft / 2 meter, 3.5mm (1/8th inch) to 6.3mm (1/4 inch) with coiled extension – A 3 ft / 1 meter straight 3.5mm to 3.5mm – Charging cable, standard USB to Micros USB— Earcups• Individual rotation of each earcup, but unlike the Studio, the Fusion is more refined, less floppy. They don’t invert & rotate without your knowledge & aren’t a brain-busting puzzle to get them back to normal position (I joke. Yes, they certainly move & take a moment to reorient, but it’s simple).• In office settings, these retain the majority of the sound & push it to your ears rather than “sharing” with everyone around you. Not to say that they can’t hear some sounds, especially some really cranked up vocals or instruments, but then, when you’re trying to thrash your tympanic membranes into submission, there’s gonna be some sharing going on.• Cups are an oval shape (taller than wider) & very comfortable. A better fit overall than the Studios, which are round. Soft leather-like material & deep enough not to rest on your ears.Full disclosure: some of the seam lines are slightly “off” in their linear accuracy, but still well sewn, no functional issue or fraying. (can be seen in picture)• Left earcup has the larger 1/4” jack & the Micro USB charging port. The right earcup has the volume controls, the on/off/pair button, & the LED to let you know they’re on or charging. It also has the smaller, 3.5mm jack for wired connection. One thing I want to point out about this is that for the 3.5mm – 1/4″ cable, it now has a “locking/anti-rotation” feature on it. One of the previous complaints I’d heard about was how easy it was for the cable to be disengaged & seems OneOdio was listening & built this little key feature in to the jack port & the 3.5mm side of the cable (seen in photo). Pretty sweet!— Headband• Well padded & comfortable. Again, nice leather-like material covers the soft padding that sits on your head & also covers the top of the headband with a nicely debossed OneOdio logo on top & sewn with red thread (not gaudy looking). Expandable to a head size well beyond mine!— Sound & FunctionI listened to a good variety of music to try to get a good overall feel for the sound quality (you can see the song listing down below).I also listened in a variety ways & formats:Bluetooth to iPhone or laptop/desktop; 3.5 to 1/4” at headphone, 1/4” to 3.5 at headphone.MP3, streaming, CD, vinyl (both through 1/4”-3.5mm jack on Parasound preamp)(To note, when you’re connected via Bluetooth, if you plug a cable in for whatever reason, it disengages Bluetooth & actually shuts the headphones off)The sounds quality is really pretty spectacular considering the price range of these headphones. You can run them flat & they’re pretty accurate if not a little muddied sounding, but feel even more impressive when you tweak the EQ a bit. For some stuff, they can get a little boomy because I think they’re generally set to be a little more bassy, but not necessarily having that bass-boosted feel. And, there’s plenty for tingling highs & good voice mids. On my phone, I actually was running the “Bass Reducer” EQ setting as it really brought out the rest of the music & vocals & still allowed for a realistic amount of bass to come through. As I’m writing this I just went from Bonnevilles to Cacique to Donny Hathaway through to Kendrick Lamar’s King Kunta & the bass wasn’t lacking at all.I won’t go into all that soundstage part of it cause if that’s what you’re looking for you need to move on, spend a lot more money on some wired, open-backed headphones, a dedicated headphone amp, & all the gold-plated accessories to meet your needs. These Fusion A7s are a great all-rounder that are wireless or wired if you like.During the almost 12 days of now owning & listening, I’ve only charged the once (upon delivery) & have listened to them a good 4 or more hours per day & then also tried various wired testing which has no impact upon battery life. I have no clue how much longer they’ll go but are playing strong. When they do start to die, there will be a beep to give you warning & you can either take them off & charge them or plug them in via one of the audio cables & continue to happily listen till you’re done with them for the day & can let them charge.— Issues (quibbles, really)• There’s a beep every time you move the volume up or down. I’m sure to let you know you’re actually making a change, but annoyingly unnecessary.• There’s the same beep when the song transitions from one to the next. An even MORE unnecessary & annoying sound. When you transition between songs there’s a normal pause anyway (unless you’ve set something to blend between songs). No need for a beep. When you’re listening to an album that’s specifically been mixed to not have breaks between songs because the artist wanted it that way, having a beep in between totally disrupts the flow.I guess it’s all beep-based cause otherwise, I’ve got nothing to complain about.—Wrap that sh*t up, B!What can I say? These are GREAT-PERFORMING, INEXPENSIVE, GOOD LOOKING, & totally COMFORTABLE to wear all day. Functionally well thought out. Allows DJs, musicians & regular listeners alike options for multi-functional uses, & also makes it so you can use your headphones in a social manner & have friends connect to yours so you can share the music!Customer Service has always been available & very interactive to make the your product is making you happy & to assist should something be or go wrong. Gotta love that.Even more than the Studios, these OneOdio Fusion A7s are totally legit, hard to find fault with, & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Enjoy them.(Small list of the songs listened to for the review. Wow, did not really expect this. I have quite a few headphones and earphones and saw these on Facebook and YouTube and thought I give them a go not expecting too much. But much to my surprise they sound much better than expected. I own Sennheiser Momentums and KEF M 400 among others and while these do not reach the build quality of those, I actually enjoy the sound of these better. I’d say these have a warmed up Harmon curve while listening via Bluetooth with less warmth and increased clarity when used wired. They have a broad soundstage and avoid the mid-bass bloat of the Momentum’s while avoiding the midrange glare of the Kefs. They are very light and comfortable, ear pads are larger and more comfortable than the Momentum’s. Hopefully they last long as the light build might affect longevity, but I believe the have a 2 year warranty so need not worry too much. For the price they are really good sounding even though they do not have aptx that doesn’t help if one uses apple products like I do anyway. Highly recommended 👍Read more
